Paige Britt is a professional writer and spiritual director. She grew up in a small town in Texas captivated by the big questions of life. After completing her masters in theology, she took a three-month retreat at a Benedictine Monastery and began her now twenty-year long commitment to contemplative practice.
Paige has taught creativity and spirituality, worked as a hospital chaplain, and served on staff at an interfaith contemplative retreat center. She now has a private spiritual direction practice, helping people lead more mindful and connected lives. She also teaches groups, leads retreats, and is a meditation instructor at The Arbor, an addiction recovery center.
In addition to her work as a spiritual director, Paige is a children’s book writer. She hopes to encourage young people who, like her, are captivated by the big questions of life. She is the author of The Lost Track of Time, and, Why Am I Me? Learn more at paigebritt.com
Cindy Novelo is an award-winning singer-songwriter, certified yoga teacher, and life coach. Cindy sees all of life as an adventure, including her seventeen years abroad studying international politics in France, performing with the National Symphony of Costa Rica, and raising twin daughters on an island off the coast of Belize.
Cindy worked for many years in international education, then returned to her musical roots to travel the country as a performing songwriter. Her most recent CD ‘Meditation’ is a mesmerizing fusion of Americana, classical, and world music. She also has broad experience facilitating workshops and retreats related to yoga and yoga philosophy, healing, and intercultural communication.
Cindy has lived through times of joy, as well as sorrow, including divorce, sudden job loss, and a journey through ovarian cancer. She has experienced first-hand the bounty of grace within misfortune and endeavors in all her work to help others do the same. Learn more at cindynovelo.com
Can you tell me more about the accommodations?
The Writing Barn is situated on 7.5 wooded acres in South Austin. It’s a peaceful environment surrounded by mature trees.
Each room has two double beds and a private bathroom. Space is shared, but so are the memories! Retreaters may also gather in the common areas of the living room or on the full wrap-around porch.
What should I do if I have special dietary requirements?
What if I have no yoga experience?
Not to worry! All levels–and all bodies–are welcome, including those with no yoga experience. If you’d rather opt out of the yoga class, you can take that time for personal reflection, hanging out in the hammock, or sleeping in.

What if I have to cancel?
In the event of a cancellation, our refund policy is as follows:
A full refund (minus an administration fee of $65) will be issued for cancellations made up to 30 days prior to the program start date.
A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made 30 days to two weeks prior to the event start date.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the event start date.
